Hey UMN Women in Tech! I hope we didn’t spook you too badly at the start of the email -- in the spookiest month of year we all need to stick together and stay on our toes in case dancing skeletons wander out of their eternal rest. :)
If you are a part of the UMN WIT Mentorship program, remember to set up your first meeting with your mentor or mentee. The upcoming social hour at The Republic might be a great way to network and connect again in the company of awesome women and allies in WIT.
As a reminder we have redesigned the WIT Crowd newsletter to include a section listing podcasts, videos, or articles members found helpful or inspirational, and we are taking suggestions! Let us know if there is something you would like to share with the community!

Spooky Social Hour
Join us for the first after-work social hour of the year -- all are welcome!
October 30, 2019, 4:30 - 6 PM | The Republic, West Bank
Our first coffee hour of the school year will feature a speed mentoring event at McNamara Alumni Center. You will have an opportunity to ask and answer professional development questions in a series of short and focused conversations (perfect if you’re unsure about mentoring or mentee-ing). It is also an excellent networking opportunity!
November 6, 10-11 AM | D’Amico, McNamara Alumni Center
